Ten COVID-19 deaths, more than 1,400 new cases in Missouri

Just one day after posting the lowest one-day number of COVID-19 cases in weeks, 692, the state of Missouri more than doubled that total today, posting 1,426 new cases, according to statistics released this afternoon by the Department of Health and Senior Services.

The new cases put the state's total at 78.062.

Ten deaths were attributed to the coronavirus during the reporting period. The state has recorded 1,449 deaths.

The positivity rate on COVID-19 cases increased from 11.4 to 12.2
