Woman in her 50s is Jasper County's 18th COVID-19 victim, 34 cases in past 24 hours


A woman in her 50s is the 18th person to die of COVID-19, according to a news release issued today by the Jasper County Health Department.

She had been hospitalized prior to her death.

The death was the third in the past two days for Jasper County. The department announced the death of a man in his 60s and a woman in her 70s Tuesday.








The county's coronavirus total increased to 1664 with the confirmation of 34 cases today.

Hospitalizations increased from 11 to 13, while the number of people under isolation increased from 126 to 158.

The statistics do not include the portion of Jasper County that is located in the Joplin city limits.
