Missouri reports 83 COVID-19 deaths, 1,580 new cases

The state of Missouri added 83 deaths to its COVID-19 toll, increasing it to 1,947, according to statistics posted this afternoon by the Department of Health and Senior Services.

The state continued posting high numbers of new cases with 1,580 today, bringing the count to 116,946.

The percentage of coronavirus tests returned positive remained high at 11.4 percent, while 989 people are hospitalized.
