Man in his 60s is Jasper County's 39th COVID-19 death, 83 new cases confirmed

The Jasper County Health Department reported the county's 39th COVID-19 death this evening.

The victim was a man in his 60s who had been hospitalized prior to his death.

Eighty-three new cases were confirmed, according to statistics posted this evening on the department Facebook page.







The number of people who are in isolation increased from 153 to 209, while the number hospitalized dropped from 20 to 19.

The statistics do not include the portion of Jasper County that is located in the Joplin city limits.
