Moran: Amy Coney Barrett is well-qualfied, thoughtful Supreme Court nominee

As the Senate Judiciary Committee begins its hearing on the confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, I will continue to monitor her progress throughout the entire confirmation process to learn more about her judicial philosophy.

After our meeting last week, I have an appreciation for her views on the Constitution and the importance of carrying out the law as written. 

She is without a doubt a well-qualified, thoughtful nominee who is committed to upholding the law and applying it fairly. 

I look forward to Judge Barrett further demonstrating her judicial views as the confirmation process continues.
