Greene County reports five COVID-19 deaths, 123 new cases

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is saddened to announce the deaths of five Greene County residents from COVID-19.

Our community lost:
A man in his 40s
A man in his 50s
A woman in her 70s
A man in his 80s
A man in his 80s

The Health Department extends our condolences to everyone impacted by these losses.

Seven deaths have been reported by the Health Department in November. A total of 161 Greene County residents have died from COVID-19.

Yesterday (Monday, November 2), we received 123 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Greene County. Our current total is 10,430 confirmed cases.

As of this morning, there were 197 COVID-19 positive individuals hospitalized at either CoxHealth or Mercy Hospital Springfield (a record number). Seventy-two of those individuals are Greene County residents.
