Number of Joplin residents hospitalized due to COVID-19 down, but number of cases remains high

 

Though the number of Joplin residents hospitalized with COVID-19 has fallen recently, the city's hospitals remain nearly full with 73 patients, according to statistics posted today on the city's dashboard.

The number of city residents hospitalized, which had climbed to more than 30 was at 17 as of Saturday.







The Joplin Health Department confirmed 28 new cases and has had 255 over the past week for an average of approximately 36 per day.

Joplin has 2,347 cases to date and has recorded 36 deaths due to COVID-19.
