Woman in her 90s is Jasper County's 98th COVID-19 death, 19th this month

The Jasper County Health Department reported a COVID-19 death today.

The victim was the 98th to date and the 19th this month.

The health department confirmed 50 coronavirus cases in 24 hours bringing the county's total to 6,567, including 325 active cases.

Seventeen county residents are hospitalized.
