Jasper County reports five COVID-19 deaths


The Jasper County Health Department reported five COVID-19 deaths today, bringing the total to 138.

The victims were a woman in her 80s, two men in their 70s, one man in his 60s and a man in his 50s.







The department confirmed 24 cases Monday, according to statistics posted on its website, putting the total to date at 8,898, including 89 active cases. Thirty-seven people are hospitalized.

The statistics do not include Jasper County residents who live in the Joplin city limits.
