During a closed session July 1, the Joplin R-8 Board of Education accepted the resignation of Kirk Harryman, who accepted a position in the Branson School District.
Harryman had been serving as 10th grade principal at Joplin High School.
The board hired four certified employees- Kevin Beck, Sveda Greenlee, Seth Metcalf and Kayla Spence.
