Today marks the one-year anniversary of the death of Cpl. Ben Cooper of the Joplin Police Department who was killed in the line of duty one year ago today.
A memorial service was held at the Public Safety Training Facility at 5102 Swede Lane, Webb City.
A second memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the facility in honor of Officer Jake Reed, who died March 11, 2022, in the line of duty and in his final act donated his organs so others could live.
