Revocation hearing set for Joplin man who pleaded guilty downloading child porn involving toddlers in 2013


A Joplin man who is on supervised probation after serving a federal sentence for receiving and distributing child pornography may be headed back to prison.

An 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 25 revocation hearing is scheduled for Randy Gene Chandler, 37, Joplin.

The nature of Chandler's alleged probation violation is not included in court records.









Chandler was sentenced to 10 years in 2015 for crimes that were committed between February 25, 2013 and June 18, 2013, according to the indictment. The nature of the crimes was provided in a detention motion.

Defendant downloaded and shared child pornography, that consisted of children less than 3 years old engaged in sexually explicit conduct; Defendant lives in a home where a five-month old and six-year-old reside.
