Probable cause: Joplin man's shouted threats "to kill someone" lead to meth possession charge


A Joplin man waived his arraignment this morning in Jasper County Circuit Court pleaded not guilty to a meth possession charge.

Erin Walter Eugene Mansour (DOB 1978) came to the attention of the Joplin Police Department Saturday following a call of a suspicious person.







Dispatch advised us multiple callers had been reporting {Mansour} yelling about killing someone while walking through residential neighborhoods.

Once officers located {Mansour}, he fled on foot. {He} was apprehended and upon search incident to arrest, a clear small plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine was found in {his} right front coin pocket.

Mansour is being held on a $10,000 cash bond. A bond modification hearing is scheduled for Monday, October 23.
