Woman charged with luring man to Joplin Motel 6 for sex, having partner rob him at gunpoint bound over for trial

 


A Springfield woman charged with robbery and conspiracy waived her preliminary hearing Thursday in Jasper County Circuit Court and was bound over for trial.

Cassandra Nichole Jeffries (DOB 1992) will be arraigned in Division I 9 a.m. November 13.







According to the probable cause statement, Jeffries, through use of an online app, arranged a sexual hookup with a man at Motel 6, 3031 S. Range Line August 18.. When the man arrived at Room 249, the woman's partner was waiting for him with a gun and stole his money.

Jeffries told the Joplin Police Department she set up the robbery in exchange for one-third of the money.
