Preliminary hearing for Reeds man for DWI, auto theft set for Tuesday


The preliminary hearing for a Reeds man on driving while intoxicated and tampering with a motor vehicle charges is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday in Jasper County Circuit Court.

According to the probable cause statement, a Jasper County Sheriff's Office sergeant stopped Daniel J. Crahan (DOB 1982) 2:49 a.m. October 14 on MO 171 after he noticed Crahan drifting across the center divider line of the two westbound lanes and nearly hitting the side of a bridge.








Dispatch told the sergeant the vehicle Crahan was driving had been reported stolen in Webb City.

Crahan's history includes DWI convictions in Rolla in 2005 and in Greene County in 2011, as well as a 2011 conviction in Greene County for felony possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest convictions in 2013 and 2021 in Jasper County and a 2021 felony tampering with a motor vehicle conviction in Jasper County.
