Former Joplin woman pleads not guilty to double murder, denied bond

During a video arraignment Friday morning in Greene County Circuit Court, Tarrin Dicks, 19, and Izaiah Crabb, 18, both of Springfield, pleaded not guilty to second degree murder charges.

Judge Kaiti Greenwade denied a change in bond for the two who are being held in the Greene County Jail without bond. Both asked for public defenders to be appointed. A bond hearing will be held after the lawyers are in place.

A hearing to determine the status of lawyers for the two is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Thursday, February 29.

In addition to two counts of second degree murder, Dicks, a former Joplin resident, and Crabb face single counts of attempted robbery and armed criminal action in connection with the attempted robbery of a Springfield man Thursday.

During the attempted robbery, the intended victim shot Dicks' brother, Trevin Dicks, 21, Joplin, and Reggie Carey 19. Both of them died later at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

Dicks and Carey were working with Tarrin Dicks and Crabb to rob the man of marijuana, according to the probable cause statement.

The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Is 6:37 AM trying to bully his way on this blog by name calling. I see him on every post and all he tries to do is offend.

The Turner Report needs to Block him if he cannot add something to the Topic at hand.

Time to Block all of 6:37 - less than studious comments.

Okay, Houston ... we've had a problem here.

If the threshold for telling Randy to block comments is because they are "less than studious" then someone better change the front page to include a user warning something like

The Turner Report- where all the comments posted are studious, all the best comments give above average yet simple solutions to the most difficult to solve problems, and if you don't agree with the copypasta clan that throwing the book at them will always git-it-dun, then your name is Karen or Ken!

Proud of you 1255. You made a more than studious statement and didn't even bring up the 1st amendment. Impressive indeed. Take note 1044.

I don't care about all the babble. I just hope that the girl and the guy, both receive the same punishment for this crime. There is usually a lighter sentence for females. Sometimes they are the root cause of the crimes, but get off with a lesser sentence.

Marijuana is legal to anyone over the age of 21 in the state of Missouri. These people must already be fried. Two dead and two hopefully in prison for the rest of their lives. Don't say marijuana is harmless

      I absolutely agree. It
is still a gateway drug, along with alcohol. Both are legal and both are harmful and addictive.

@9:24 Don't conflate terms. Marijuana is not addictive, but it can be habit forming. It is also not a gateway drug.
