Government wants Joplin man held without bond on fentanyl trafficking, weapons charges

In a detention motion filed today in U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, the government asked that Landon Lee Laurance, 21, Joplin, be held without bond while awaiting trial.

A grand jury indicted Laurance on fentanyl trafficking and weapons charges.

According to the indictment, Lawrence possessed fentanyl with intent to distribute on August 30, 2023, possessed a firearm on the same day.
