The arraignment of Scott Burleson, 30, Galena, Kansas, who is charged with second degree murder in connection with the March 3 stabbing death of Seth R. Langford, 36, Carl Junction, is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, July 22 in Jasper County Circuit Court in Joplin.
Burleson was bound over for trial after waiving his preliminary hearing June 13.
A witness told the Jasper County Sheriff's Office that Burleson stabbed Langford three times Saturday March 2 at South State Line Avenue, according to the probable cause statement. Langford was taken to Freeman West Hospital where he died 12:28 a.m. March 3.Burleson is also charged with robbery and armed criminal action.
