(From Missouri Public Service Commission)The Missouri Public Service Commission has established the deadline for those wishing to intervene and participate in water and sewer rate cases filed by Missouri-American Water Company (MAWC).
Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than July 19, 2024, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at psc.mo.gov.
Individual citizens wishing to comment should contact either the Office of the Public Counsel (Governor Office Building, 200 Madison Street, Suite 650, P.O. Box 2230, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102-2230, telephone (866) 922-2959, email opcservice@opc.mo.gov) or the Public Service Commission Staff (P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, telephone 1-800-392-4211, email pscinfo@psc.mo.gov). The Office of the Public Counsel is a separate state agency that represents the general public in matters before the Commission.
On July 1, 2024, MAWC filed water and sewer rate cases with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking to increase current annual water and sewer revenues by approximately $166.6 million (34.4%).
MAWC provides water service to approximately 484,000 customers in Missouri. It also provides sewer service to approximately 24,000 customers in the state.

Rate will increase despite valid reason for opposition of rate increase. Look at Spire energy (aka gas men) who are often DWI offenders and cant lie to National Highway safety and cant get CDL license. Union leader/negotiator gets them reassigned to smaller 1500 trucks. Same Union leader opposes dash cams of them texting other married women. Same Union leader uses company trucks to do personal business in Kansas with Administration permission and knowledge. Highest paid prevailing wage is errand boy. True Story but truth about Union utility workers. Who cares, no competition, shut up and pay your bill!!!
That’s $28 more a month. I’m not even sure how that is possible.
Well when you have to hire someone that knows nothing at professional wages because of all this Covid backlash nonsense, then you have to over compensate the rest, then insurance goes up just because they can, Bidenomics at its best. Those $13 Big Macs meals 🤣
