A Miami, Oklahoma woman filed suit against J. C. Penney Monday claiming she suffered injuries during a July 20, 2023 fall at the Northpark Mall store.

According to the petition, Norma Burnett (DOB 1964) was walking through the store and tripped over a sign that had fallen over injuring her hip and femur.

The petition alleges negligence on the part of J. C. Penney and Michelle Burgess, manager of the Joplin store and asks for reasonable damages and costs.

Burnett is represented by Scott Vorhees of the Joplin firm of Johnson, Vorhees and Martucci.

Calling all Ambulance Chasing Attorneys - Let's Keep Suing Businesses, when these Individuals / Plaintiffs will Not take Responsibility for their own Actions. There is a Sign that had Fallen down, possible by some other Customer - and this woman could not walk around or see the Sign in Front of her - PLEASE - - So Tired of People Not being Responsible for themselves - at one Time People took Responsibility for their own Actions and did not Blame Others, But since we have more that 75% of the Worlds Attorneys in the United States - We have to keep Feeding these Bottom Dwellers -

I am sorry Norma Burnett - was injured, but can people just use common sense and be aware of their surroundings - STOP BEING A VICTIM - and looking for others to pay for your own inept Lifestyle.

3:42PM - You Mean - (JVM) Scott Vorhees of the Joplin firm of Johnson, Vorhees and Martucci, is Taking Advantage and Living and Leaching Off the Hard Work of Companies Trying to Support their Employees and the Local Community - While he and the Rest of these Ambulance Chasing Law Firms - Suck and Bleed off of them.

What Humanitarians JVM, (Johnson, Vorhees, and Martucci), are. Should we name a Street after them? They are taking from Hardworking Individuals and Companies and Padding their Own Pockets.
