Mammogram services suspended at Freeman, substandard images reported over 2-year period

Mammogram services at Freeman Health's Wes and Jan Houser Women's Pavilion in Joplin have been suspended since November 7 after the American College of Radiology expressed concerns about substandard images.

The problem covered a time period between September 13, 2022 and November 7, according to a report posted earlier today by KOAM.

The station provided an excerpt from a statement issued by Freeman:

"The American College of Radiology (ACR) has determined a concern about the quality of the mammography services that our facility performed between September 13, 2022, and November 7, 2024. During this time, the ACR has determined some images failed to meet their clinical image quality standards, as required by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)."

Freeman officials are redirecting patients to Freeman Neosho, which is still certified, according to the KOAM article.

Show me some lawsuits?

Another pathetic leadership example of this hospital.

When will it end?

Remove the entire Board, fire the grossly overpaid executives, and actually serve patients instead of their inflated salaries.

Pathetic, shameful place.

Photoshopped heavily naturally. Lol

I stopped going to Freeman for mammograms because of the hour+ delays and rude staff. Didn't realize they were inaccurate, too. Wonder how many cases of breast cancer they missed?

I stopped going as well, way back in 2017. Thank goodness! Freeman is a joke! Except it's not funny. People die because of this!

The greed of the administration knows no bounds.

Looks like the new CEO bowed out at the right time, let the Baker deal with the problems she caused…or was complicit with.

How would patients go about doing this?
