McDonald County Circuit Court online records indicate Judge John LePage reduced Rhonda Wise's bond from $1,500 to her own recognizance based on the recommendation of the prosecuting attorney.
Wise (DOB 1983) was charged following an investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Information Wise included on the probable cause statement that led the McDonald County Prosecuting Attorney to file charges against Gloria Trejo, 53, in connection with the November 2 hit-and-run death of Michael Lynn Pruden, 59, turned out to be falsified, according to the probable cause statement. Charges against Trejo were dismissed.

ReplyDeleteHope she didn't lie to them about showing up in court too!
ROR is a common occurrence. She will plead down, surrender her POST Certification and will never work in law enforcement again. Feds should look at her for civil rights violations and a Title 42 USC 1983 suit needs filed.
ReplyDeleteIt's a small town in small county.
ReplyDeleteDid this perpetrator know the suspect who she was 'investigating' when she did her gooogling?
She's a cop so we should throw the book at her and lock her up? Maximum penalty while we let normal deadbeats repeat offend dozens of times without any consequences? Sounds logical.... How about we reprimand and give an opportunity for her to continue her life. We do it for all of the drug addict repeat offenders.
ReplyDeleteThat oath don't mean much if a sworn deputy can violate it allegedly did that on a probable cause statement.
DeleteThat's almost probable cause to think that a person doing so is either evil or stupid.
Or both!
Qualified immunity!
ReplyDeleteAgain, the Woman, Gloria Trejo, that hit the man in the First Place goes FREE - Where is the Justice for his Family - She left the scene and then lied when she got caught. Where is the Outrage - I don't care if she is Latino or Not - She got away with Murder - She can go home every night to see her Family the Victim cannot, because of an overzealous police officer - is that Fair, why not Re-File Charges against, Gloria Trejo? Double jeopardy is not in play since she was never tried meaning she was never acquitted or convicted in a prior trial.
ReplyDeleteSo, before we forget about this Tragedy let's Remember the Victim - Michael Lynn Pruden. May 2, 1965 - November 2, 2024 - 59-Years of Age
He was full of life and was a retired Veteran of the Marines. He served in Deseret Storm and Shield, receiving a service honor plaque.
He loved his family and friends. He Loved his dogs Oreo and Smokey.
Mr. Pruden and his family deserves justice here. I would hope there is an open investigation on his death no matter who did it.
