(From the Jasper County Sheriff's Office)On 5-11-2026, at approximately 7:30 AM., Jasper County Deputies and EMS were notified of a workplace accident involving a male employee who had apparently been injured by a forklift.
The incident occurred at PALTECH Enterprises located at 11235 State Highway 96, Carthage, Mo.
When Deputies arrived, they located a male on the ground with severe injuries and began lifesaving efforts until fire and EMS arrived. At approximately 8:15 the male had succumbed to his injuries.
Next of kin have been notified of the death and the male was identified as Roberto Gomez, 33, of Carthage, Mo.
The investigation is ongoing and more information may be released when the investigation is
completed.
