Four businesses fail Joplin Health Department inspections

Four businesses failed Joplin Health Department inspections last week, according to information posted on the department website. 

Businesses that flunked their inspections were Lotus Garden, 1818 W. 7th Street; Journey Through Slime Event Studio, 2310 S. Main Street; Bites N Pipes, 110 N. Range Line Road; and Longhorn Steakhouse, 1930 S. Range Line Road.

Seventeen businesses passed their inspections.

Lotus Garden

Lotus Garden received 16 core violations and an administrative violation for not having an up-to-date health permit posted. The core violations can be found at this link.

Journey Through Slime Event Studio

Journey Through Slime Event Studio received two priority violations and four core violations.

The priority violations were for having waffle mix being cold held above 41 degrees in a cooler and for having sugar ants on and in the back counter.

Bites N Pipes

Bites N Pipes received a priority violation for having food items in the prep table being cold held above 41 degrees and two core violations that can be found at this link.

Longhorn Steakhouse

Longhorn Steakhouse received three priority violations and five core violations.

The priority violations were for having chicken being cold held above 41 degrees in the breading cooler, Parmesan cheese, ranch mixture and shredded cheese being cold held above 41 degrees in the salad prep table cooler and for having steak being stored in an upright cooler at a temperature above 41 degrees.
