A Purdy man was killed in a two-vehicle accident 12:35 p.m. today on Route BB three miles south of Monett.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1995 Buick Skylark driven by a 62-year-old Purdy man failed to stop at a stop sign on County Road 1090 and was struck by a 2020 Toyota 4Runner driven by a 43-year-old Springfield man.
The Purdy man was pronounced dead at Cox Hospital in Monett at 1:21 p.m.
The fatality was the 93rd this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
