(From the Diamond R-4 School District)The Diamond R-IV School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Katie Mock as the new principal of Diamond High School for the 2026-2027 school year.
Dr. Mock brings more than two decades of experience in public education, serving as a teacher, instructional coach, and school leader. She currently serves as Assistant Principal at Seneca R-7 School District, where she also coordinates Career and Technical Education programs, the A+ Program, and advisory committees supporting student success.
Throughout her career, Dr. Mock has demonstrated a strong commitment to instructional leadership, student achievement, and building meaningful relationships within school communities. Prior to her current role, she served as a 7-12 instructional coach and district test coordinator at Seneca and spent several years teaching science at both Webb City and Neosho.
Her career in education began in the classroom, where she spent more than 20 years as a teacher across multiple districts. Dr. Mock earned her Doctorate in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University, along with a master's degree in educational administration from William Woods University and Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Science Education from Missouri Southern State University.
In accepting the position, Dr. Mock expressed enthusiasm about serving the Diamond community: "I've spent my entire life in public education; this is a wonderful opportunity to give back to my own community! We can empower every teacher, staff member, and student to grow each day! When adults in a school district genuinely care about kids, kids gain confidence, learn to persevere, and are set up for success!"
