Sources close to the Lamar R-1 Board of Education have indicated one of those being considered for the superintendent position is Lamar High School graduate Mark Mayo, currently superintendent of the Diamond R-4 School District.
The Lamar position will become vacant June 30 when Mike Resa's resignation takes effect.

Hey people of Lamar: why do you want to hire a guy that has wasted almost $5000 of our children's education money on lawyers suing us Diamond taxpayers and Lamar taxpayers? Run, run quickly and choose someone else.
I remember him from when he lived here and went to school here. What a goof. Don't think he's what this town needs right now (or ever).
