Insurance interests pours $50,000 into House Republican committee
Missouri Professionals Mutual, St. Louis, contributed $50,000 to the House Republican Campaign Committee, according to a 48-hour report filed today with the Missouri Ethics Commission.

You should look at the Financial Statements for Missuri Employers Mutual Insurance (www.mem-ins.com). They are a Missouri Legislature started insurance company established to serve small business worker's compensation needs. Of course insurance can afford these kinds of donations - when they make 20% to 30% profit and in MEM's case don't pay taxes. Not saying MEM made a donation, but they are indicative of the industry.
