A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR SNOW...SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST MONDAY. A WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON CST MONDAY. * SHORT TERM TRENDS...A BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH MODERATE TO HEAVY SLEET ALONG WITH SOME FREEZING RAIN MIXED IN WILL PUSH INTO AREAS SOUTH AND EAST OF A BRANSON TO EMINENCE LINE FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE MORNING INTO THE EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS. SLEET ACCUMULATIONS OF AN INCH OR POSSIBLY HIGHER WILL QUICKLY ACCUMULATE WITHIN THE THUNDERSTORMS. WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL BECOME MORE SCATTERED IN NATURE DURING THE EARLY AFTERNOON...BEFORE INCREASING AGAIN LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING. MANY ROADWAYS ARE COVERED WITH SNOW AND SLEET...RESULTING IN TREACHEROUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS. * TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...WINTRY PRECIPITATION CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI...ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM BRANSON TO EMINENCE...THROUGH TONIGHT. BITTERLY COLD WIND CHILLS CAN BE EXPECTED FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH MID DAY MONDAY. * SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...UP TO AN ADDITIONAL HALF INCH OF SLEET CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS WITHIN THE THUNDERSTORMS. PRECIPITATION WILL TRANSITION TO SNOW LATER THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT. 3 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW... WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS...CAN BE EXPECTED. SNOWFALL RATES MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES TONIGHT. * ICE ACCUMULATIONS...A GLAZE TO PERHAPS AS MUCH AS A TENTH OF AN INCH OF ADDITIONAL ICE ACCUMULATION WILL BE POSSIBLE. * WINDS AND VISIBILITY...NORTHERLY WIND GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH WILL RESULT IN CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW LATER THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT. VISIBILITIES WILL BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN A HALF MILE AT TIMES. * WIND CHILL VALUES...WIND CHILL VALUES WILL REMAIN IN THE SINGLE DIGITS TODAY ACROSS THE AREA. TONIGHT AND EARLY MONDAY...WIND CHILLS WILL FALL TO BETWEEN 10 AND 15 DEGREES BELOW ZERO. * IMPACTS...TRAVEL ACROSS THE REGION WILL BECOME DIFFICULT AND DANGEROUS. BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW MAY LIMIT THE VISIBILITY TO NEAR ZERO AT TIMES. VERY COLD TEMPERATURES WILL RESULT IN A RISK FOR FROSTBITE AND HYPOTHERMIA FOR ANYONE WITHOUT PROPER SHELTER.
