THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT. WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED... ELEVATED EXCESSIVE COLD RISK. LIMITED NON THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK. DISCUSSION... GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL APPROACH 30 MPH TODAY. EXTREMELY COLD TEMPERATURES COMBINED WITH THE WIND WILL CAUSE WIND CHILLS TO BE BETWEEN -5 AND -15 DEGREES TONIGHT THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY MORNING ESPECIALLY OVER THE EASTERN MISSOURI OZARKS. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY. WIND CHILL VALUES RANGING WILL RANGE FROM -5 TO -15 EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. A BAND OF LIGHT SNOW THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND THURSDAY EVENING MAY BRING LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ACROSS CENTRAL MISSOURI AND THE EASTERN MISSOURI OZARKS. AN UNSETTLED WEATHER PATTERN WITH A SERIES OF UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES WILL THEN BRING CHANCES FOR A WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION FROM THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY. CONFIDENCE IS INCREASING FOR THE POTENTIAL OF A WINTER STORM TO AFFECT THE AREA BUT EXACT PRECIPITATION TYPES AND AMOUNTS REMAINS UNCLEAR AT THIS TIME.
