Candidates for the Joplin School Board and Joplin City Council will be featured in two upcoming “Candidate Connection” programs airing on KGCS-TV.
The school board candidates will gather at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 17. The city council candidates will appear at 7 p.m. Monday, March 28. Both programs will be broadcast live from Webster Hall’s Corley Auditorium, and are open to the public.
The programs are being presented by KGCS and the Joplin Globe, with sponsorship from TAMKO Building Products.
“This is a great opportunity for voters to hear what candidates have to say prior to the April elections,” says Judy Stiles, general manager of KGCS.
KGCS programming may be seen over the air on digital channel 22 and on regional cable television systems. The station operates as service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
