The Jasper County Sheriff's Office arrested Rogers February 8 with court records indicating he had been living in Carl Junction since December 28 without notifying the sheriff as required by state law.
The Restaurant & Bar at Briarbrook Golf Course will be closed until further notice. We have no immediate plans concerning the Restaurant and Bar at this time. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Rogers assumed co-ownership of the restaurant at the beginning of 2019.. LaFamiglia promoted itself as a family restaurant and had a prominent kids menu. The restaurant would have also handled food service for the pool during summer months.
Rogers was convicted on two counts of indecent assault and battery of a 15-year-old girl on November 1, 1998. He was familiar with Missouri sex offender requirements, having registered with the St. Charles County Sheriff's Office on February 17, 2004 and signing registration forms verifying he was familiar with the law.
On January 12, 2012, Rogers was convicted of a felony sex offender registration violation in Miami County, Kansas..
Rogers' arraignment, originally scheduled for Monday, February 25, in Jasper County Circuit Court before Judge John Nicholas, has been continued to 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 26. Rogers is free after posting a $1,000 bond.
