The Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney's office charged a Seneca man with second degree murder, armed robbery and two counts of armed criminal action in connection with the March 3 stabbing death of Seth R. Langford, 36, Carl Junction.
A witness told the Jasper County Sheriff's Office that Scott Burleson, 30, stabbed Langford three times Saturday night at South State Line Avenue, according to the probable cause statement. Langford was taken to Freeman West Hospital where he died 12:28 a.m. Sunday.
From the probable cause statement:
Scott was seen on video footage leaving the scene in a silver 2006 Chevrolet Silverado (VIN: 2GCEC13V261325756) truck with two other occupants.A warrant has been issued for Burleson's arrest with no bond.
In a news release earlier today, the Jasper County Sheriff's Office named Burleson and Paul D. Phillips, 36, Seneca, as persons of interest. No charges have been posted online for Phillips at this point.
