Judge approves Greg Dagnan's amended petition, Carthage Citizens United once again listed as defendant

Judge David A. Cole approved an amended motion by fired Carthage City Administrator Greg Dagnan Monday and that's bad news for Carthage Citizens United.

The citizens group, which pushed for the removal of Dagnan and former City Attorney Nate Dally and is backing the pending impeachment of Mayor Dan Rife, was initially dismissed as a defendant, but was restored after the judge reviewed the amended petition.

And while the amended petition still lists the City of Carthage as a defendant, only two members of the City Council, Tiffany Cossey and Alan Snow remain as defendants.

Dismissed as defendants were City Council members Jana Schramm, Derek Peterson, Chris Taylor, Lori Leece, Dustin Edge, Terri Heckmaster and Thomas Barlow.

The defendants have 20 days to file a response to the amended petition.

It will be interesting to see how quick accusations are made against Randy for being biased by reporting simple facts. The CCU people and their council members are crazy. Every single meeting Cossey has the minutes changed to reflect better on upon herself. The minions all vote to approve of course.

This all boils down to protecting Mark Peterson, which they haven't done, and CWEP leaders. One of the reasons they don't want to audit the CWEP is the fact Chuck was having, and probably is still, an affair with a female employee, and CWEP funds were spent on this affair. Several employees complained and they were punished. I am sure we will see some lawsuits over that.

CWEP wants no one looking at them for other reasons too, like their leaders being significantly overpaid, which can be confirmed because the pay is public record.

I am pretty sure part of this may also involve the extra 1.9M Precious Moments and Heckmaster (a council member) wanted the city to pay for a land deal. I would love to know the kick back Peterson was supposed to get from that deal and who else would have benefitted. This reeks of RICO potential.

The CCU leaders are mostly composed of retired L&P senior managers who helped run the company into ground and local "leaders" whose wealth and local influence was/is generational and not earned. What a terrible and avoidable mess. I wonder if the council has reached $100K yet to impeach the mayor?

I think the CCU Facebook page looks completely different lately.

Not nearly as much leaving all the junk hanging out and making lots of accusatory claims like a few months ago.

It's almost like it's been converted to a golfing page.

People might be wondering about the change.

Did they start worrying about getting grabbed by the short hairs?

Fun fact: Chuck is still having his affair(s), and gave one of his CWEP eye candy an unmarked city-owned vehicle that she drives to and from Kansas every day. He’s breaking all of the rules that other city department heads would get terminated for. All the while, telling the (now) “city council 6” what to do at every council meeting and has for over a year. So, why is that??? What is he holding over everyone that they cannot push back and do the right thing?!? Those who know KNOW why he and the other CWEP employees ignored the deposition subpoenas for the mayor’s impeachment case. EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED.

YOU Keep saying FACT.Please provide the FACTS that you are referring to. Otherwise you have nothing other than your opinion.

They're worried about losing Cossey to recall. If that happens the CCU agenda is toast and they know that. Probably should have pursued an agenda with 2 fewer crazy people from the same ward and a Daddy's boy seeking revenge for Daddy's crimes.

Still waiting on your facts.
