A spokesman from Seventh District Congressman Eric Burlison's Springfield office issued the following statement to KOLR about the congressman's views on holding town hall meetings.“Rep. Burlison has always engaged and will continue to engage with all his constituents across the 10 counties he represents in the most efficient and effective way possible. Virtual town halls ensure that everyone in the district has the opportunity to participate.
In addition, Rep. Burlison regularly visits every county, attending civic and community events where he interacts with constituents of all political backgrounds. Our office also fields phone calls and emails daily, relaying feedback directly to the Congressman.
As we’ve seen across the country, including in Missouri, in-person town halls have become a target for organized opposition groups seeking to disrupt meaningful discussion rather than engage in constructive dialogue. That’s simply not productive.
Our previous virtual town halls are archived, demonstrating that our process is open to all, and we invite everyone to join our next virtual town hall on March 26th at 5:30 PM CT.”

There might be a shortage of chickens, but not when it comes to the Republicant cockus!
Cowardly magat hiding behind the abominations (trump, musk, etc) seeking to overthrow democracy, destroy our economy, and create an even more angry and dependent strata of society to worship the false god. Even the Bible and every world history book have this same story. History does repeat itself. Time to resist.
The current USA government is a criminal enterprise. The DOJ should initiate RICO charges. They are running a textbook Mafia scheme, fleece a legitimate business after taking control of it.
I hate to tell Rep Burlison that the "organized opposition groups" are your angry constituents who want answers as to why our American democracy is being dismantled, why we are embracing Russia as an ally, why the very thing that Trump campaigned on (the economy) is the farthest thing from his "action"/Executive Order/whim. Oooh, no, let's have a "virtual" town hall where he can answer cupcake questions and feel good about ourselves.
I may agree with him or be a fellow member of his party but I thought he was still elected to represent me in Congress. Guess if you don't wear a red hat your opinion doesn't matter to him.
