Two Carthage businesses have been cited for exceeding air pollution limits, according to a news release issued today by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
Renewable Environmental Solutions, the ConAgra affiliated business that is now being sued by the attorney general for creating a strong odor in Carthage due to alleged environmental violations, and Schreiber Foods were cited by the state agency. Both violations were discovered while state officials were in the city investigating the odor problem, the news release said.
Both companies have 15 days to respond to the notices, according to the news release.
