Nexstar Broadcasting CEO Perry Sook says political advertising should enable his company's third quarter revenue to increase by 16 to 19 percent, according to Radio and Television Business Report.
The company posted a positive second quarter report Tuesday, including the news that its retransmission payments increased from 800,000 in the second quarter of 2005 to $3 million.
Nexstar's good news has kept its stock headed in an upward direction. The stock was up to $4.70 at the close of trading Tuesday, up 19 cents from Monday and 72 cents from its low of $3.98 earlier this month.
Nexstar owns KSNF in Joplin and KSFX in Springfield and serves as de facto owner of KODE in Joplin and KOLR in Springfield.
