Four establishments fail Joplin Health Department inspections

Four establishments failed Joplin Health Department inspections last week, according to information posted on the department website. 

The businesses that received failing grades were Maverick 3434 S. Range Line Road; Mr. Clark's BBQ & Catering, 1203 E. Broadway Street; Boba Teaz, 101 N. Range Line Road; and Stogey's Coney Island, 2629 E. 7th Street.

Maverick

Maverick received a priority violation for having milk in the walk-in cooler being cold held above 41 degrees and a core violation for having excess condensation in the walk-in freezer.







Mr. Clark's BBQ & Catering

Mr. Clark's BBQ & Catering received five priority violations.

-Raw shell eggs were stored above less hazardous food items in the cooler.

-Pork, green beans and other food items in the walk-in cooler weren't properly date marked

-Cole slaw, shredded cheese and sliced cheese in the prep cooler were observed at temperatures above 41 degrees

-Excessive fly activity was observed in the food preparation areas.

-Mouse droppings were seen underneath the storage racks.

Boba Teaz

Boba Teaz received a priority violation for having mouse droppings in hard-to-reach areas throughout the establishment, an administrative violation for not having a health permit posted and five core violations that can be found at this link.

Stogey's Coney Island

Stogey's Coney Island received a priority violation for having items in the prep table cooler adjacent to the grill being cold held above 41 degrees.
