The evil opportunists of Rev. Fred Phelps' Westboro Baptist Church have reiterated that they will be in Joplin Sunday to disrupt the memorial service for victims of last Sunday's tornado.
From their website: "WBC will picket Anti-Christ Obama who is speaking at the memorial service for the 126 God killed in his wrath with the whirlwind. They all died for the sins of Missourians who have repeatedly lifted up their violent hands against God's anointed, despite plain warning not to do so.
"And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people; He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes, Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. (1 Ch. 16:20-22.)
"Even at this hour -- after God has mercifully saved many of you alive this day -- you continue to threaten to harm or kill us for telling you to repent, obey and mourn for your sins. Your evil, traitorous Governor, Jay Nixon, is quoted as proposing "thumping Westboro Baptist Church on the head". An elected official who swore to uphold and defend the Constitution is encouraging violence against WBC because he hates the words she speaks. That is why Missouri gets the whirlwind and destruction until God has performed the thoughts of His heart!
"Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked. The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly. (Jer. 23:19-20.)
"Obama will tell you smooth words about how you can join together and help each other and rebuild your community, and blah, blah, blah. Wrong, Beast! You rebels say you will rebuild; God says he will throw them down again!
"Whereas [america] saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever. (Mal 1:4.)
It's time for Joplin, MO and Obama to stop yapping about rebuilding and get serious about making peace with God Almighty who holds the breath of your life in His hands. Believe God and heed WBC's warning TODAY! That is your only hope."
With all offense intended, considering what this city has been through, we should have no trouble surviving a ragtag bunch of misfits like the congregation of the Westboro Baptist Church.

And there was much weeping on the part of all; they embraced Paul and kissed him, being sorrowful most of all because of the word he had spoken, that they would not see his face again. And they accompanied him to the ship.

I hope the suffering can find comfort in the Bible and that I will live up to these scriptures.
Its so unfortunate after all the heartache these people have had they have to put up with these Pondscum Christians. What a bunch of slobs.
As a wise man on the internet once said, "don't feed the trolls."
These people (Westboro) are not Christians. They are evil. One day, they will stand before God and answer for their heartless comments & grief inflicted on so many. He will tell them, "Depart from me, I never knew you."
As I heard someone say, Why is it the gay bars downtown were saved and several churches and the hospital were destroyed. What say you WBC?
