Arraignment date moved up for Carthage board member charged with DWI

The arraignment of Carthage R-9 Board of Education member Dr. Mark Westhoff on three misdemeanor charges, including driving while intoxicated has been moved from May 28 to 9 a.m. April 14, according to Newton County Circuit Court online records.

Westhoff, 56, was arrested by the Missouri Highway Patrol May 9. In addition to the DWI, he is charged with failure to drive on the right side of the road and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.

Westhoff is represented by Joplin attorney Brian Glades.
