Judge: Accused killer of MSSU coach can wear street clothes, no restraints

When Jeffrey Bruner appears in Jasper County Circuit Court March 28 for a change of venue hearing, he will be allowed to wear his own clothes and will not have restraints.

That ruling was issued by Judge Gayle Crane Friday.

In addition to the change of venue request, Judge Crane will rule on a request from Bruner's lawyer, Ross Rhoades, to reduce Bruner's $1 million bond.

Bruner is charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action in connection with the November 1 shooting of Missouri Southern State University offensive line coach Derek Moore in the parking lot in front of the Northstar Regal 14 Theater.
