Reader tip provides Joplin Honkies connection to search of Newton County home in connection to Sarah Burton disappearance

At least a couple of times a week, readers provide information that leads me to one or more Turner Report posts.

One such tip came earlier this week after I posted a story about Joplin News First's Shannon Becker's live coverage of a search of a Newton County home in connection with the disappearance of Sarah Burton.

An anonymous comment provided a link to a Joplin Globe story that detailed the 2016 capture of Doug Alexius, who was referred to by former Newton County Sheriff Ken Copeland as a member of the Joplin Honkies gang.

The capture took place at the exact same residence that the FBI and Newton County deputies were searching in the Sarah Burton case.

The post I wrote noting that turned out to be the most visited post on the Turner Report this week (with the Joplin News First post finishing second and another post about the search coming in third) and it was all thanks to a reader tip.

As I have noted before, many of the best posts on this blog are inspired by information that you provide. There are times when I cannot use the information, but there are a s surprising number of times that I am able to use the information I receive days, weeks, or even months later.

Thanks for the information, please feel free to send tips to me through the comment section, by e-mailing me at rturner229@hotmail.com or messaging me on Facebook.
