Carthage R-9 cancels back-to-school open houses

Open House Events Canceled

We will not be able to host our normal open houses prior to beginning school. 

These nights are important as meeting your children and the children meeting teachers and staff are crucial in developing relationships. However, we do not believe our typical practice of hundreds of students and parents roaming the halls at the same time with very little social/physical distancing protocol options is a good thing. 

Building administrators and staff will develop new, innovative ways to contact children prior to the first day of school.

Other back-to-school gatherings (Mix & Meets and Freshman Orientation) are still under consideration.
