Jasper County reports three COVID-19 deaths

The total number of COVID-19 deaths in Jasper County stands at nine following the Jasper County Health Department's announcement today that three residents of Carthage Health and Rehab, a long-term care facility.

The three who died were females in their 80s, according to a Health Department news release.








"The management of the Carthage Health and Rehab facility has been working closely with the Jasper County Health Department, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Section for Long Term care and recently had all their staff and residents tested for the virus. The situation continues to be monitored closely."

Fourteen coronavirus cases were added over the weekend, putting the county at 1,286.  The number of people hospitalized dropped from 20 to 19, while the number under isolation fell from 64 to 59.
