The Missouri chapter (CAIR-MO) and national office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today called for a thorough and transparent police investigation into the hanging death of Rezwan Kohistani, a 14-year-old Afghan refugee in Webb City, Mo., who reportedly experienced severe school bullying.
In a statement, CAIR and CAIR-MO also called for an investigation into allegations of bullying at Webb City High School and any causal relationship that bullying may have had to the student’s death.On May 5, Kohistani’s body was found hanging on school property at Webb City High School.
Kohistani, whose family arrived in the United States in the aftermath of the fall of the previous Afghan government, had allegedly been subjected to severe bullying because of his nationality and religion.

The family reportedly struggled to adjust to life in their new community, where they were one of few Muslim families.

So this is an opinion blog or a news article? Spreading incorrect information does not help this situation - the incident was not at Webb City High School, it was at the district baseball field which is at a different location during non school hours. Imagine what this family is going through and then to have THEIR tragedy plastered everywhere and twisted whatever way to fit the posters narrative. Report facts; and if you don’t have facts don’t report.
