Richard: We balanced the budget without raising taxes

Speaker of the House Ron Richard credited the House with holding the line this year by balancing the budget without raising taxes.

During a wide-ranging press conference following the conclusion of the 2010 legislative session Friday, Richard said House members had many good ideas, but were trumped by the nation's economic problems:

It's too bad Marilyn Ruestmann won't be our next Senator. Richard is already running for Governor and he isn't even elected to the Senate yet. He has failed to show any real leadership as Speaker of the House, how in the world would he lead as Governor?

Thats right Ron, you balanced the budget without raising taxes, but at the cost of hurting public education in Missouri. but why would you care, school kids do not contribute to your campaigns do they. You and the Neo-Con Rethuglicans love an ignorant public that believes your lies.

I'm sorry, I had to quit laughing at the Ruestmann for Senator remark before responding.

Local folks have the option to raise levys or create new ones to support our schools.

Why don't you trot out there as a leader and start the process with a petition to your local school bor to raise taxes?

Maybe Marilyn could organize the teachers to help get signatures. Or does she only do resolutions?

Your approach is to point your finger at others. Have you told Richard, face-to-face, how much more you want him to raise your income and property taxes to go for education? Or are you going to continue to hide behind Turner's skirt? Whoa, that'a a whole other subject.

Speaking of Ms Ruestman, who with her apparent deep concern for Newton County, has probably only been to Neosho once, and that was to file as a candidate for the presiding commissioner.
Shop local is what we say here in Neosho.

Now dang it. Marilyn was at the GOP Candidate Fair in Neosho tonight. She kinda had that deer-in-the-headlight look on her face.

She was carefully being guarded by a group of 'know nots' who know not how unqualified she is to work for us in Newton County.

When she got up to speak, some people rolled their eyes an some actually cringed. I love it!
