Teen driver charged with felony DWI after injury accident, BAC nearly three times legal limit

A Webb City teen was charged with felony driving while intoxicated following a December 7 crash at the intersection of Lone Elm Road and Hickory Hills that hospitalized the driver of the second vehicle, a 19-year-old Farlington, Kansas, with serious injuries.

A $100,000 cash-only bond was set for Walter E. Tebalan Mendez, who was driving without a license with a blood alcohol content nearly three times the legal limit, according to the probable cause statement. A bond reduction hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday before Judge Joseph Hensley in Jasper County Circuit Court.

According to the Highway Patrol report, Mendez, driving a 2006 Toyota Tundra, drove off the south side of the road and struck a 2013 Honda Civic driven by the Farlington woman causing it to overturn. The woman was taken to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.

Mendez failed a field sobriety test and a preliminary breath test showed his blood alcohol content at .218 percent.

Walter E. Tebalan Mendez, DWI, No License, Probably No Insurance - Needs Jail Time - Prayers for the Farlington Woman and her Family.

Again, She is the Victim Not the Person that clearly caused the Accident. Most of you Leftist Liberals always want to Blame the Victims - Not the Criminals - Because if someone Blames the Criminals, then we are all Racist, Fascist, Nazis, or White Nationalist - When this Woman may not be home for Christmas - Yet this Punk sits in Jail, until some Low Life Attorney can get his Bail / Bond - Reduced - from some Sympathetic Judge...
