Fourth District Congressman Mark Alford suggests cuts for Medicare, Social Security

Fourth District Congressman Mark Alford raised some concerns after his comment on Fox Business suggesting the need to raise the age that people can begin drawing Social Security.

From Fox 4 in Kansas City:

“And on the front end on Social Security, I think there’s a way, when people are living longer, they’re retiring later, then on the front end we can move that retirement age back a little bit,” he said.

Alford also suggested cuts needed to be made in Medicare.
