Granby man charged with four counts of child endangerment following road rage incident

The Newton County Prosecuting Attorney's office charged a Granby man with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child following a road rage incident Monday.

An arrest warrant was issued for Shaun Eugene Moore (DOB 1988) Monday with bond set at $1,500 cash or surety.

From the probable cause statement:

On November 2, 2026, Shaun Moore was identified as the driver of a maroon Honda Pilot involved in a reported road rage incident.

The reporting party stated Moore tailgated their vehicle, drove aggressively, and displayed a black handgun while pointing it in their direction, causing her to fear for her safety and the safety of the driver.

I located the vehicle and stopped the vehicle at 3200 Lusk Dr. I removed Moore from the vehicle and asked if he had been involved in a road rage incident to which he advised yes. I asked Moore for consent to search his vehicle which he agreed and granted consent.

During a consensual search of Moore's vehicle, officers located a realistic replica handgun matching the RPs description behind the passenger seat. Four children had been present in the vehicle during the incident.

After the firearm was located Moore was taken into custody and transported to the Newton County Jail.

While at the Jail I advised Moore of his Miranda rights, Moore stated that he displayed the firearm out of the driver's window during the road rage incident.
