Nicholas Cutbirth, 33, Joplin, was sentenced to six years in prison today during a hearing in U. S. District Court in Springfield.
Cutbirth pleaded guilty June 30, 2025, to being a felon in possession of a firearm. The 6-year sentence was what the government asked for in an October 23 sentencing memorandum. The sentence will be followed by three years of supervised release.
